College isn't the place to
go for ideas.
As soon as you set foot on-campus, you will notice that JEC has a 'feel' that is quite different from other universities.
Unlike many other campuses that are grey and impersonal, JEC 's buildings are a mix of modern and traditional, surrounded by trees and open spaces. The campus is so easy to get around it won't take long to feel at home and begin soaking up the atmosphere - chatting over vehicles at the stand, playing cricket on the field or rushing off to lectures. Why not visit the campus to experience that difference!
College isn't the place to

JEC's learning environment embraces a self learning style of learning, which is an exploratory and independent style of learning. Unlike students at other colleges in India, you will be responsible for your own learning.
Students are required to be self motivated, and to seek out help from staff at the earliest opportunity.
Students are also required to analyse and challenge ideas, concepts and issues and to present their own interpretations. If students mention the theories or concepts of other authors or experts within the body of their work, students are required to formally acknowledge these sources.
I personally feel that i got a lot from the college in terms of attitude makeover, friends, masti. I feel sad to say but the college is degrading in its infrastructure and education day by day.Right from the first semester,mostly ad-hoc teachers teach us.No matter how much the world bank and TEQUIP project provides us the fund, quality education will always be a dream for a student studying in JEC.
