Mechanical Departement
The department came into existence with the establishment of the college in 1947, and later shifted to its present premises in the year 1951-52.
The department, to begin with, had five to six members of staff, headed by prof. P. C. Wadhwani. The strength subsequently grew upto 15-16 members of staff Prof. V. D.Gupta. Posgruaduate course in I.C. Engines was started in 1956 and continued upto 1970. Later this was converted to course in Heat Power Engineering. Another postgradutate course in Machine Design was also strted in 1971.
