JEC Research & Innovation office
With the help provided by the Central Government the college is successful in providing new and best equipped laboratories with latest instruments. The old laboratories have also been modernized with sophisticated accessories.
A proposal of Rs. 214.78 lac for the Research & development Program, Rs. 135.90 lac for the development of the Women Program and rs. 78.50 lac for the renovation of building has been presented to the Govt.
A scheme for making necessary changes and improvement in the building for the convenience of physically handicapped students has also been proposed.

1.) Dptt. of Mechanical Engineering:
-
Project proposals for the installation of Advanced Manufacturing Technology and Advance Material Science Laboratory have been submitted under the TEQIP (World Bank project).
-
An electronic device for measurement of few diesel injection parameters was done by a group of students.
-
A project proposal of Rs. 991 lakh, to set up a tool room, in the department is under consideration by the ministry of Commerce and Industries, Govt. of India.
-
Fabrication of of a large size Tabular Hydro turbine was done by under the group of students.
2.) Dptt. of Electronics & Communication
-
Under TEQIP program of World Bank, the department organized a workshop on “Microprocessors and Microcontrollers: Operations & Maintenance” from 19-21 June 2006.
-
Under TEQIP, World Bank has sanctioned money for the development of VLSI Design Lab & Digital Signal Processing lab, in the department.
-
A national seminar was organized on “Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology” on 26-27 June 2006.
3.) Dptt. of Civil Engineering

The college has earned the status of “State Technical Agency” for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yogana. Under this project scrutiny are made of the project proposals, after scrutiny, are sent to MPRRDA/NRRDA for approval.

Not only this, the endeavor of all the faculty members has been to render community services in various ways. They deliver lectures on “Earthquake Public Awareness Program” at Malviya Chowk, Jabalpur, organized by District Administration.

The faculty members’ assisted in designing a section of Khuninala of Nagar Nigam, Jabalpur. They have also used their potential by taking keen interest in the works of Ghat Development at Gwarighat, Jabalpur.

Remote Sensing lab has been further development in accordance to the changing scenario. The Deptt also has computer based "Geographical Information System" to accommodate the academic needs of the students.
4.) Dptt. of Electrical Engineering:

A National Seminar on “Advances in Power Systems Operation & Protection” was successfully organized by the faculty under the aegis of TIFAC-CORE.

The department conducted a workshop on “Power System Over-Voltage Protection Insulation Coordination & Insulated Substation”.
-
DC and AC drives laboratory is being set-up under TEQIP.

A Transformer Repair Unit (TRU) has been set-up with an objective to detect & analyze defects in transformer which fail during impulse testing so that the transformer design can be improved. This unit has also taken up the repairs of the old distribution transformers from agencies like MPSEB, MES, PWD etc.

The experts from IBM visit the college very frequently & imparting training to the students. It als conducts online test and award certificates to the students.

An equipment for Computer Technical Quiz has been set-up in the department to help student sharpening their technical knowledge.

The students of this department have started Computer Society.
7.) Dptt. of Information Technology

The college has signed an agreement which comes under the wings of University Program of IBM. The department will also give training in DB2 and ‘WEBSPHERE’.

The Regional Networking Academy of Cisco will assist the students to gain knowledge of the most recent trends of Computer Networking.

Sun Micro System which is the first & foremost in ‘Java Engineering’ will provide training in this institution.

An agreement has been signed with the IBM-ACE which gives world wide employment oriented education.
-
Efforts have been made to sign agreement with UNIT project of Texas Instruments. This will provide well equipped DSP laboratory in the institution.
