Jabalpur city is in the heart of M.P. It stands majestically on the Tropic of Cancer and on the banks of the river Narmada which flows through the white marble rock cluster–site known for its munificence beauty in the world. Nature has also bestowed its unique beauty to this college by providing the beautiful lake as its natural background. The college spreads over an area of 255 acres of land in the North-Eastern outskirts of Jabalpur at Dindori road. It is about 5 km away from Jabalpur railway station and about 8 km from local bus stand. Frequent movement of city buses and auto services facilitates to and fro form the college to city. Jabalpur is well connected by rail, road and air. Jabalpur airport is about 7 km from college and it has daily flights from New Delhi and Bhopal. Jabalpur is located on Mumbai-Howrah route via Allahabad.
The institute is affiliated to Rajeev Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidhyala, Bhopal (RGPV). The institute has been ranked 46th in all India ranking of top government engineering colleges (Outlook, Jun7,2007).The institute offers U.G. courses in seven disciplines namely Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Industrial & Production, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also offers 6 PG courses in Engineering, MCA, M.Sc. in Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry and Applied Mathematics.
Mechanical Engineering and Industrial & Production Engineering departments have well equipped laboratories, workshop and other infrastructure. In addition to UG courses, Mechanical Engineering Department also offers post graduate course in Thermal Engineering and Machine Design.
To bring engineers, consultants, researchers and industrial experts all over the country to share their original contributions in research, experience at one platform.
Mechanical and Industrial & Production engineering plays an important role in meeting the requirements of the modern developing industrial world, which aims at optimization and continuous improvement in productivity.There is growing requirements for the development of new concepts and approaches to meet the new heights in the field of manufacturing and production. Keeping above trends in mind this national conference on MECHANICAL AND PRODUCTION SYSTEMS IN 21ST CENTURY is being organized to facilitate meaningful interaction among the industries, academic institutions and R&D organizations. The conference will cover wide spectrum of issues related to Mechanical, Industrial and Production Engineering.
The extended abstract of the paper not exceeding 400 words, Typed on one side of A-4 sheets in MS Word format using Times New Roman script of 12 font size, on any of the given and related topics should be sent to the coordinator by e-mail to mpsc2007@rediffmail.com. The full paper in specified format should be sent after provisional acceptance of the abstract. The accepted paper received on or before the due date will be included in the conference proceeding.
The registration fee will be accepted through a demand draft payable at State Bank of India, GEC Branch, Jabalpur. drawn in favor of Principal, Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur.

Only few rooms are available in the college guest house. Room booking in the guest house will be done on first come first serve basis. Number of luxury/budget hotels are there in the close proximity of the institute.
